11-Team Single Elimination Bracket

A free, printable, fillable 11-team single elimination bracket with seeds already placed. Because 11 isn't a power of two, the bracket is built on 16 slots: 5 byes go to the top 5 seeds (seeds #1–#5), who skip straight to the Quarterfinals.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many games are in a 11-team single elimination bracket?

10 games. Every game eliminates exactly one team, and all but one team (the champion) must be eliminated, so a 11-team single elimination tournament always takes 11 − 1 = 10 games.

How many rounds does a 11-team bracket have?

4 rounds: Round of 16 (3 games), Quarterfinals (4 games), Semifinals (2 games), Championship (1 game).

How many byes are in a 11-team bracket?

5. The next power of two above 11 is 16, so 16 − 11 = 5 slots are byes. In a seeded bracket the byes go to the highest seeds: seeds #1–#5.

Who plays who in the first round of a seeded 11-team bracket?

#6 vs #11, #7 vs #10, #8 vs #9. Seeds are paired so the top seed faces the lowest remaining seed, which keeps the #1 and #2 seeds on opposite sides until the final.

Can I fill in the bracket on my computer?

Yes. The PDF has fillable fields for every team slot. Open it in Chrome, Edge, Adobe Acrobat or Apple Preview, click a box and type the team name (press Tab to jump to the next slot), then print or save.
